Ella Laytham is an Art Director at Saga Press. She joined Simon & Schuster in 2024 from Penguin Random House, where she worked on the Random House, BBD, Del Rey, and Random House Worlds imprints, designing covers across all genres. Before this she started her career as a book designer in the Gallery and Atria imprints at Simon & Schuster. She’s designed the New York Times bestsellers A Fate Inked in Blood by Danielle L. Jensen, Lady Macbeth by Ava Reid, Star Wars: Shadow of the Sith by Adam Christopher, Star Wars: The Princess and the Scoundrel by Beth Revis, All Good People Here by Ashley Flowers, Pretty Things by Janelle Brown, and The Only Good Indians by Stephen Graham Jones, among others.
Ella hails from the Jersey Shore and is now based in Brooklyn. She studied Graphic Design at the School of Visual Arts in NYC. She is also occasionally an illustrator and has illustrated covers such as Amy Poeppel’s The Sweet Spot and Ann Claire’s Dead and Gondola. Ella has worked on everything from celebrity memoirs, to rom-coms, to cookbooks and historical fiction, but has a special place in her heart for SciFi, Fantasy, and Horror. She is thrilled to be on a team where she can focus on everything spooky and fantastical.
